Ang’ata means Wilderness in Maasai, the language of the Maasai. It is also a region of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area called Ang’ata Kiti situated near Nasira Rock, a rich grass plain sandwiched between the Gol Mountains to the south and the slopes of the Ngorongoro Crater to the north.
Founded in 2011, Ang’ata Camps & Safaris was established with a clear vision—to offer authentic, thoughtfully positioned tented camps that allow travellers to experience Tanzania’s wilderness in its purest form. Rooted in a deep appreciation for nature and traditional safari heritage, our camps are designed to bring guests closer to the landscapes, wildlife, and rhythms of the African wild.
